Native Vines

Calystegia purpurata  Western Morning Glory  San Bruno Mtn.
Our local San Francisco species of Morning Glory. These scrambling vines are not invasive like bindweed, although they die back to a persistent stem each year and can be hard to clean up. They do have their place and charm. Also nice as a groundcover in a meadow, or useful hanging down steep slopes.
