Ceanothus hearstiorum



A medium-sized shrub, fast-growing to 3 feet high and 6 feet wide. Full sun, low water, needs good drainage. Beautiful rich blue flowers & small leaves on a mat-forming plant. Coastal origin, needs some shade and water inland. Slow-growing but worth the wait for an elegant, tidy, long-lived ground cover.
