Arctostaphylos montaraensis



A rare and endangered species endemic to Montara Mountain in San Mateo County, this 3- to 15-foot beauty has tightly clasping upright silver-green leaves, stems covered in white bristles, and the red gnarled trunk for which manzanitas are prized.
