Tiny ground hugging plant, very useful between stepping stones in harsh conditions, as a lawn substitute and excellent butterfly nectar. All sorts of insects are drawn to the flowers of this verbena relative. AKA Capeweed, Creeping Lip Plant, Frog-Fruit, Frog's Bit, Licorice Verbena, Turkey Tangle Frogfruit, Condamine Couch, Creeping Vervain, Matgrass and more worldwide. Larval host for buckeye butterflies. Usually found in moist conditions but has deep roots and easy to keep green in summer.
